Hummus

Boiled chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil and garlic to make this delicious dip. A simple dip which you can have for any occasion or even as a simple evening snack with some pita bread. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Hummus

  • 2 cups chickpeas (kabuli chana), boiled
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup tahini paste
  • 1 cup chickpea stock
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 5-6 black olives, finely chopped

Method

  1. Combine chickpeas, salt, lemon juice, garlic, tahini paste and stock in a blender jar. Blend well into a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer paste into a serving dish. Drizzle oil on top, sprinkle paprika powder and garnish with olives.
  3. Serve as a dip.
